We have collected the most important information that help you start using the OrthoGraph products easily:

The Equipments

The OrthoGraph software is a graphical and alphanumeric data survey system made for Windows Mobile Devices. For their usage it is required to have a desktop PC and a PDA/Windows Mobile Touch Screen Smartphone that can be connected to each-other.

First is used to make printouts, survey templates, produce DWG/Google SketchUp/ArchiCAD output besides many other features.
The sketching, graphical measurements and the data survey is done through the PDA component.

Although it is not a must to have, but may be worth using a Leica Disto A6/D8 laser distance meter and a bluetooth barcode reader.

Prerequisites

For using the software you need Microsoft® .NET Framework 1.1 (or newer) on your desktop, Microsoft® .NET Compact Framework 1.0 on your PDA, and Adobe® Reader or compatible for reading the software documentations. You can download all prerequisites for using OrthoGraph clicking here.

Installation Steps

As the OrthoGraph products are built up from a Desktop and a Mobile component, two installations will be required:

After downloading the install file (has an .msi extension) double-click it or choose Run (depends on your browser).
The installation of the desktop component will begin. If there are any missing prerequisites, then the install will prompt for them. Please obtain them from their original provider, or download them from our website.
Starting from the welcome screen follow the messages, click always Next to proceed. Please read and if you agree accept the license terms, and clicking the Next button wait, until OrthoGraph Project Manager is installed.
When OrthoGraph Project Manager is installed, please click "Close" to close the installation wizard.
Please check whether your Mobile equipment is connected to the desktop, if not, then please connect it now. We assume that you have already installed all drivers/software components necessary to use your mobile equipment.
Start OrthoGraph Project Manager from the Windows Desktop Start menu.
The OrthoGraph Project Manager will either prompt you to start installing the PDA Mobile component to your PDA equipment automatically, or you can start it manually using Settings menu/Install OrthoGraph Survey/Architect/Inventory command.
The installation will begin, please follow the on-screen messages.
When the installation is ready, you are done. Just start using your PDA or Windows Desktop component.
We recommend to start with the PDA component.
