OrthoGraph Version Updates

Based on the emerging number of new feature requests, finding some software bugs and - what the main important for us is - the requests of our users we find our mission to develop the OrthoGraph software family continuously.

As a result, there are new software versions of the OrthoGraph which can replace the former ones. We always take care of the backward compatibility with the older drawing files, so every drawing, which was created with former version of the OrthoGraph, can be opened with the new software versions, but saving is only supported with the actual file format.

How to get the hottest software versions?

There are two ways to get the software updates:

• buying an update version of the particular OrthoGraph product, or
• subscribing to the OrthoGraph Software Maintenance Service at buying the software license or an update.

In the first case the user can decide when he/she needs a newer software version. When it is so, then based on the existing license information it is possible to buy the actual version of the particular components on a discounted price.

In case of subscribing to the OrthoGraph Software Maintenance Service the user - besides many more additional services - has the right to use the newest releases of the particular OrthoGraph software products. This service includes the availability of all major and minor software versions, which is automatically maintained by the OrthoGraph ProjectManager system by itself. The OrthoGraph Software Maintenance Agreement can only be subscribed together with buying or updating a license. The software update process:

The OrthoGraph software update process needs a living internet connection. Each time, when the OrthoGraph ProjectManager is started, it checks whether there is a newer software version of the OrthoGraph on the OrthoGraph central server. When there is, then the user is notified about it, and can accept the download of the new version. After accepting the download, it will be automatically update the particular OrthoGraph software components. The prerequisite of the software update process is that a PDA containing a valid OrthoGraph license has to be connected to the computer.
